The RBA Group survey department has been an integral part of the firm since its inception in the 1960's. It consists of licensed, experienced personnel equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and provides surveying services for all of our professional disciplines while maintaining a large client base serving the local design and development community. Recent technological advancements in the surveying field, such as GPS, digital mapping, electronic data collection and control network software and CADD, have been incorporated to maintain The RBA Group's position as a multidisciplined consulting firm with the capability to meet the professional design requirements necessitated by today's environment.

Each field crew has a fully equipped van with Topcon total station instruments, Wild Levels and FC-48 data collectors, traffic control and safety equipment and two-way Motorola radios for precise communication in busy work environments. The RBA Group has both the one meter Trimble ProXR GPS receiver and the Trimble 4800 GPS receiver system for high order control and for utility and wetland location.

As members of an independent department within The RBA Group professional service structure, our surveyors perform a wide variety of assignments, including conventional boundary and topographic survey employing state-of-the-art data collection technology and digital terrain modeling, ALTA/ACSM title surveys, wetlands and stream modeling for environmental permitting and bridge, route and highway surveys for state and local agencies.
