The RBA Group of professional planners helps many communities with the design and development of revitalization plans. Our planners will look at the community and identify ways to improve community access to shopping, the community's natural resources, and historical elements through bicycle/pedestrian routes, parking availability, sidewalk improvements, and traffic signal and crosswalk improvements. The purpose of designing and planning revitalization programs is to help communities that are declining in population and economic stability bring back those elements to the community and help the community move forward in a growth pattern.
For the city of Wilkes-Barre, PA, we provided master site development plans for their riverfront park. The development plan incorporated linkages to regional trail systems such as the Delaware and Lehigh Canal National Heritage Corridor. The City of Wilkes-Barre sees this park as the key to economic revitalization. The Borough of Fanwood, NJ, looked to the RBA Group to provide a Downtown Revitalization Plan. This planning effort included an analysis of land use, traffic, parking, pedestrian circulation, and functional relationships with the downtown. At The RBA Group our diverse staff of professional planners, civil engineers (traffic, environmental, structural), architects, landscape architects, cultural resources, and survey division provide our clients with the advantage of one stop shopping. This diversity is the strength of our success in the area of downtown revitalization.
