Award Winning Project

The RBA Group is the recent recipient of the Distinguished Award for Engineering Excellence 2009 from the Consulting Engineers Council of New Jersey for the New Jersey Safe Routes to School Urban Demonstration Program project.

RBA assisted six schools in urban settings in Newark, Trenton and Camden, in developing Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Programs that were reflective of the individual circumstances and challenges in these communities. This Demonstration Program has been acknowledged as the first state-agency-led effort in the US to tackle equity issues in a Safe Routes to Schools program.

Golf Course Restoration Master Plan

RBA Golf Course Design Services Division is presently working on developing a course restoration master plan for Glen Head Country Club in Glen Cove, New York. This private 18-hole course built in 1923 by Devereux Emmet, Charles B. MacDonald and Seth Rayner for Marion Hollins was formerly known as the Women's National Golf and Tennis Club. It was the first private women's golf club in America. Plans being developed include: bunker restoration, reclamation of putting surfaces, tee leveling, fairway recontouring, cart path work and tree management.
